Description of the job

Location: Ashgrove, Brisbane

Hours: Casual shifts between 8am - 4pm Monday to Friday

Salary: Up to $44ph depending on Experience plus Salary Sacrifice

Due to a change in the team, our amazing team at our Ashgrove Centre, who support clients with Arts and Life skills programs, are excited to offer a casual role that would suit a university student looking for a rewarding and flexible job. What would I be doing?

  • Playing a pivotal role with the centre’s team of dedicated support workers, to enable the best outcomes for our clients.
  • Providing support and assistance to individuals on matters of personal care including, but not limited to, bathing, toileting, dressing, eating and taking of medication.
  • Facilitating and leading arts and music programs to support our clients with their creative goals.
  • Providing safe and effective services and supports for daily living to optimise individuals’ independence, health, well-being and quality of life.
  • Ensuring on all matters, individuals are offered the opportunity and encouraged in a positive manner to make their own decisions and choices about their lives and lifestyles.
  • Also always ensuring, that an individual’s dignity and privacy is protected. Be responsible for upholding the rights of privacy of an individual and a client’s personal information should not be disclosed without the express permission of the individual concerned.
